Haven't we progressed beyond a Bronze Age Deity?

An update would be great. I was motivationally brought up by a daily diet of 'we'll sow the fields and ter' and 'fight the good fight' I do remember harvest time outside whilst we sang, but as usual the diety sat on the wait and see fence instead of getting on with their given message. Seems they have missed the point.
